BUNKER HILL, Ind. (WLFI) - Indiana State Police are calling an inmate death at the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill "suspicious."
Police believe it may be a homicide. 62-year-old Charles Miller, formerly of Howard County, was found dead in his cell Sunday evening. Miller was incarcerated for attempted murder and was set to be released in January 2018.
The Miami Correctional Facility Internal Affairs staff are assisting state police in the investigation. The Miami County Coroner's office is currently performing an autopsy, but police said preliminary indications point to homicide.
No other details about the investigation have been released.
