CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Officials arrested a woman Monday following a slow police chase through the snow.
Maria Luna Soto, age 30, of Indianapolis, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says shortly after midnight Monday, an officer observed a vehicle going the wrong way on Keystone Avenue and 96th Street.
The motorists refused to stop and merged onto Interstate 465 south. Soto spun and hit a concrete barrier. The vehicle weaved and drove on the shoulder of the road, struck another barrier and then drove into a ditch near Allisonville Road.
Police say the woman was driving less than 25 mph.
Officers say they think the woman had been drinking. They say they also found shot glasses in the car. After the accident, the officers say the woman appeared to be unconscious.
She was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
