OTTERBEIN, Ind. (WLFI) - Indiana's Public Access Counselor is investigating the Otterbein Public Library Board.
A complaint filed Sept. 19 alleges that the Otterbein Public Library Board and its President Treeva Sarles violated the Access to Open Door law by holding multiple board meetings without properly notifying the public.
The complaint also alleges several members of the board were trying to hatch a plan to fire library staff without public input.
Sarles has until Oct. 4 to respond to the Public Access Counselor, which will then release an advisory opinion two weeks later.
News 18 was unable to reach Sarles for comment Thursday.
