WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A speeding driver led to a pursuit through two counties.
Indiana State Police say a pickup truck driven by Bradley Ayers, 23, of Monticello was speeding across the Washington Street bridge about 10:30 p.m Sunday. Troopers say Ayers kept driving along U.S. 24 in White County before turning off onto several different county roads. Investigators say he lost control and wrecked his car in a field off County Road 1125 West in Carroll County.
A K-9 unit located Ayers about 45 minutes later along a creek under a bridge.
Ayers has outstanding warrants in White, Knox and Montgomery counties.
As of Monday night, he was being held in the White County Jail on felony charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction within 5 years. Authorities say his license was suspended at the time of the pursuit.
Ayers remained in the White County Jail Monday night.
