LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Aaron Elliott, 20, of Lafayette was sentenced to two years in prison, two years of community corrections, and two years supervised probation after pleading guilty to felony charges of burglary and theft.
Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Pat Harrington said in February of last year, a woman reported someone had broken into her garage, stealing a dirt bike, bike helmets, money and power tools.
Harrington said that same day, Elliott and two others were spotted in Romney riding a motor bike that wasn't theirs.
Harrington said police found the three people had pawned power tools and bike equipment and later determined they were behind the burglary.
