TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette man received a 4-year sentence after he pleaded guilty to battery with a deadly weapon.
According to court records, 26-year-old Dustin McKee was arrested after police responded to a report of a woman stabbed in the face in West Lafayette last September.
During the investigation, they say McKee told police an argument escalated between him and two men who were with the woman.
Court documents say he claims he was trying to punch one man and missed, resulting in the stabbing of the woman.
McKee will spend two years in jail and two on probation.
