LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Pat Harrington said Phillip Hutchinson, 29, was sentenced to 13 years behind bars after pleading guilty to breaking into a woman's home while she was asleep on the couch.
Last May, News 18 reported Hutchinson entered a home on South 28th Street in Lafayette.
Harrington said the woman who lived there was asleep and woke to find Hutchinson standing over her.
Harrington added Hutchinson used his elbow to hold her down at first, then stole about $150 before he was arrested a few blocks away.
