TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - State police have arrested a western Indiana pharmacist they say stole cash and drugs and traded them for sex.
Sixty-eight-year-old John T. Webb of Bloomfield was being held without bond Tuesday in the Vigo County Jail in Terre Haute. He faces preliminary felony charges of theft and dealing in controlled substances.
A news release says the owners of JR Pharmacy in Terre Haute contacted police in October when they suspected Webb was stealing drugs.
Police say investigators found that Webb had taken painkillers and about $1,000 in cash from the store and provided some of them to a woman in exchange for sex.
Webb is also suspected of providing drugs to other people and keeping some for his own use.
It's not clear if Webb has an attorney.
