TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Battle Ground man faces seven charges after Tippecanoe County deputies said he was driving drunk with kids in the car when he crashed the car in a ditch.
It happened October 18 on State Road 25 West in Tippecanoe County. As News 18 first reported, Deputies said a car driven by 31-year-old Terry Jackson of Battle Ground was traveling East on State Road 25 West at a high rate of speed. That's when the car ran off the road and crashed into a ditch.
A 3-year-old and a 9-year-old were in the car at the time of the crash. Deputies said Jackson's blood alcohol content registered at above a .15.
All three occupants were transported to St. Elizabeth Central and treated for minor injuries.
Jackson was arrested and booked in at the Tippecanoe County Jail.
Jackson faces charges for neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury and operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a minor in the vehicle. Jackson also faces charges for having prior convictions of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of at least .15.
