LOUISVILLE (WLFI) - Missing eight-year-old Sophia Snow has been found safe and unharmed in Kentucky. Her mother, Jennifer Ansari, surrendered to police in Louisville after the two were located in a home there.
Ansari was arrested on a warrant out of Indiana for Custodial Interference.
Our sister station WISH TV reported that the Amber Alert was issued after Snow was not turned over to her father on the court-appointed date. Fishers Police Department said Ansari took the girl after realizing she was losing custody to her ex-boyfriend. Although Sophia was last seen on Friday, the Amber Alert was issued Tuesday (the court-ordered date).
Detectives from Fishers were headed to Kentucky Wednesday night to pick up Snow. Ansari will likely be brought back to Hamilton Co. sometime this week. Ansari is charged with interference with custody, a Class D felony.
Inventions were built by Purdue mechanical engineering students for a final class project.
U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly has traveled around the state throughout the week talking with workers at automotive plants.
