FISHERS, Ind (WISH) - Hamilton County police are on the scene of a vehicle that crashed into the bedroom of a house in the 8600 block of East 146th Street early Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 4:15 a.m., investigators say the driver, 57-year-old Jerry Mooneyhan, was experiencing some sort of medical issue just prior to the accident. He said he felt dizzy and believed he temporarily passed out, a release said.
Police say the pick-up truck was eastbound on 146th Street when it went off the road at the southeast corner of the intersection at Allisonville Road.
The pick-up left the road, went through a snowy area and then crashed into the house.
The truck went 3/4 of the way into the house, crashing into a bedroom and landing on top of a bed.
The female occupant of the house was asleep in a different bedroom. She was not injured. The empty bedroom is normally occupied by a grandson who wasn't staying there at the time.
