CENTRAL KANSAS (CNN/KCTV) - For a mere $425,000, you can own your own bunker from the Cold War.

A man has turned to eBay to sell his bunker that sits under a field in central Kansas. Built in the late 1950s, it is one of 72 decommissioned missile silos in the U.S.

The fortress is 17 stories underground but can still be remodeled.

"It's one of the safest places you can own on the face of the planet and an excellent spot to build any type of luxury living environment that you would consider building above ground," said silo owner Jeff Flaningham.

Flaningham says he is hoping the missile silo may appeal to survivalists and others predicting the end of the world, or just someone looking for the ultimate man cave.
