BOSTON (CNN/WMUR) - A New Hampshire man took on the battle of the bulge and won by dropping 330 pounds in one year.

Despite a few setbacks along the way, Gregg Blanchard now weighs in at 474 pounds.

Blanchard is taking each day one step at a time. His short-term goals include not only getting into a car, but to visit a gym.

"It's not just about being addicted to chocolate or food or wanting sweet things," Blanchard explains. "It's about what's inside your head, how you're thinking, where you come from, what got you to this place in the first place."
