CHINA (CNN) - China researchers have found a way to transform human urine into brain cells.
They were able to reprogram kidney cells harvested from urine samples into immature of brain cells, called neutral progenitor cells.
The technique could be used to treat brain-attacking diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
The research appears in the journal Nature Methods.
