HAMPSHIRE, United Kingdom (CNN) - If you have nearly $10,000 to spare then what may be the ultimate smartphone could be yours.

Vertu unveiled its Vertu Ti luxury smartphone this week.

It has a sapphire-crystal screen which the company says is virtually scratch-proof, along with a titanium casing.

It also has a concierge available at the touch of a button.

And in a sign of separation from its former parent, Nokia, Vertu chose Android for the operating system, rather than Windows, which Nokia uses.

The starting price is $9,600. Design options can push the price up to nearly $20,000.
