BLENHEIM, S.C. (AP) — Ruby Hodge is packing heat - as a couple of crooks found out.
The 89-year-old South Carolina widow chased off two bandits with a .38 caliber pistol she pulled from under her mattress.
Hodge tells the Florence Morning News the gun had belonged to her late husband, who died more than 20 years ago.
Authorities say two suspects were later busted, after a passerby noted their license plate number.
