WASHINGTON D.C. - Purdue's Silver Twins, Sara and Chellie Zou, share their
experience at the inauguration as it happens.
January 22: 1:52 p.m.
I had the time of my lifetime on my five day trip to DC. I made
lots of friends and shared many memories. I feel so blessed and
lucky that I was able to attend the event and experience it first
hand. I was amazed at how many people were there, all for one man.
I think Obama represents a new America and everyone wanted to see
his historic inauguration, his new beginning. I hope to make it
back to another inauguration in the future, but I know it won't be
the same.
Through all the crowds and cold weather, I managed to enjoy
every moment and make the most of it. Over five days, I slept a
total of 10 hours, spent countless hours outside in lines alone,
met people from Virginia, Washington, Tennessee, Michigan, North
Carolina, South Carolina, and California, saw President Obama's
motorcade in person twice, and witnessed history in the making. I
now have too many stories to tell all my family and friends.
[WLFI: thank you for posting my blogs and taking interest in my
journey!]

I'm on the National Mall right now waiting for president-elect
obama's inauguration. Its freezing cold and there are a ton of
people. I arrived in downtown around 4 am. I waited in many lines
and finally made it in around 8 am. Now we're being entertained by
the San Fransisco boys and girls choirs.

I'm a day out from the inauguration and the city is buzzing. You
can tell everyone is excited and getting ready for a huge day
tomorrow. It started snowing this morning. Hopefully, it'll hold
off till the end of the week. The people in the conference are all
tired from travel and activities but we don't want to miss anything
so we keep our eyes open.
