DENVER, CO. (WLFI - blog) - We made it!

Atlantic, IA greeted us with delicious food and a spectacular crowd at the airport this morning. We left at 6:45 in the morning from Racine and made a mad dash for IA in hopes of beating the rain that appeared to be moving in. Luckily, we made excellent time and it did not rain all day. We FINALLY had tailwinds for this leg and we think we made a good push for a strong finish. Results are now exactly 2 days away and the time could not crawl by any slower as we anxiously await our standing.

To hopefully take our minds off the competition for a bit, our families and ground crew members will be getting into Atlantic tomorrow afternoon. In the evening we all will be hosted by a very generous family out in the country for a BBQ. It should be a fun time! This is the last of our race day diaries, so we hope you enjoyed the updates and of course, we will let you know how we placed after Sunday's awards banquet.
