LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Central Catholic High School senior Will Jones made a verbal commitment to Hillsdale College on Thursday afternoon.

The 5’11, 150 pound wingback/cornerback helped the Knights win 59 games during his high school career. Offensively, Jones rushed for 525 yards and 10 touchdowns this past season.

Number 17 also caught 32 passes and compiled 363 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jones will join Hillsdale on a full-tuition scholarship and is the second Knight to commit to the program this week. Teammate Timmy Mills committed to the Chargers on Monday. Jones is set to play defensive back next fall.

Hillsdale is a division two program that is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Last season the Chargers finished with a 7-4 record overall.

Jones was named to the AP and IFCA All-State team as well as the All-Hoosier Conference team.
