WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue's Senior outside hitter Ariel Turner was named Big Ten Player of the Week for the final weekend of the regular season. The honor is the tenth of Turner’s career and third of the season.

Turner averaged 6.00 kills, 4.43 digs and 1.29 blocks per set, while also serving up four aces and hitting at a .373 clip as Purdue secured fifth place in the Big Ten with a pair of home wins

The senior kicked off her final home weekend with an 18-kill, 14 dig double-double, leading the team in both categories. She added a season-best six blocks and went a perfect 7-for-7 on serve receive chances against Indiana. Against Wisconsin, she downed a match-high 24 kills and added 17 digs, four aces and three blocks on senior night.

Her dig tally moved her career total to 997, putting her just three away from becoming Purdue's seventh 1,000-kill, 1,000-dig performer.

The Player of the Week honor is the fifth for a Boilermaker this season.
