MIAMI, Fla. (WLFI) - The New Orleans Saints won their franchise's first ever Super Bowl 31to 17 over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday Night in Super Bowl 44.
Purdue graduate Drew Brees was named the Most Valuable Player.
Drew Brees tied a Super Bowl record with 32 completions. He was 32-39 for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
Indiana University graduate Tracy Porter intercepted a Peyton Manning pass late in the 4th quarter to seal the win.
Purdue graduate Len Dawson presented the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
