WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - As college baseball’s Feb. 15 opening day and Purdue baseball’s March 19 home opener get closer on the horizon, season tickets are available for the Boilermakers’ inaugural season at their new Alexander Field stadium.
There are a limited number of season tickets remaining for the premier box seats located behind home plate, priced at $60 for the 2013 campaign. Purdue has 23 home dates on its schedule this year, a home slate that features five three-game weekend series and eight midweek dates.
General admission season tickets are available as well. The chair back bleacher seats behind the dugouts and down the foul lines are general admission seating. General admission season tickets are only $30 for adults and $20 for Purdue students/youth.
There are also openings remaining for the new luxury suites on the second level of the stadium. Suites seat up to 20 people and are available for games on March 24, March 27, April 3, April 5-6, April 10 and May 14. Suite prices are $200 for the midweek games (March 27, April 3, April 10 and May 14) and $250 for the Big Ten games (March 24 and April 5-6).
Single game tickets are priced at $8 for the premier box seats, $5 for general admission adults and $2 for Purdue students/youth. Groups of 15 or more are eligible for general admission single-game tickets as low as $1 per ticket. Group ticket orders should be arranged prior to the day of the game.
To order season and single-game tickets, visit the baseball tickets page at PurdueSports.com, call 765-494-3194 or visit the box office in Mackey Arena. For more info about group tickets, call 765-494-3225.
Fresh of the best season in program history, which featured two Big Ten titles and a team-record 45 wins, over 400 season tickets have already been sold for the Boilers’ inaugural season at Alexander Field. Purdue is slated to host Ohio State (March 22-24), Northwestern (April 5-7), Nebraska (April 19-21), Southern Illinois (May 3-5) and Iowa (May 16-18) for three-game weekend series this spring. Illinois-Chicago, IPFW, Butler, Indiana State, Ball State, Illinois State and Eastern Michigan visit campus for midweek games.
The first game at Alexander Field is slated for March 19 and a special stadium dedication game is being planned for April 20.
