INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) - The seven Indianapolis high schools belonging to the Hoosier Crossroads Conference voted unanimously in favor of separating from Lafayette Jeff, McCutcheon, and Harrison on Friday. The separation will not take place until the 2014-2015 season.

The Bronchos, Mavericks, and Raiders are in search of joining a new conference. The schools have reached out to the North Central Conference in hopes of joining as new members.

"All three schools have been contacted by the North Central Conference," said Lafayette Jeff athletic director Mark Preston. "We are still waiting for word back from the North Central Conference on what our next step is and I think is a sign of what the future holds for the three Tippecanoe schools beginning with the 14-15 year. While we have had a great relationship with the Hoosier Crossroads Conference, life does go on."
