INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The man who successfully led the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl is taking over the helm of the parent company that oversees IndyCar.
Hulman and Company announced Tuesday that Mark Miles has been named CEO, allowing Jeff Belskus to focus on IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In his new role, Miles will oversee Hulman and Company’s various assets, which include Clabber Girl, Georgetown Realty, IMS, IndyCar and IMS Productions.
Miles has a lengthy record of working with sports on an international stage. In addition to running the 2012 Super Bowl, he also was in charge of the 1987 Pan American Games.
"It is an honor to join Hulman & Company, known for its tradition of success," Miles said in a news release. "I'm excited about joining the team and contributing my lifetime learning from international professional sports, large-scale major sports events and business environments.”
