Purdue women fall to Ohio State

COLUMBUS, OH (WLFI) - Purdue women's basketball fell on the road to 10th ranked Ohio State on Sunday 80-71.

Purdue took a 6 point lead into halftime 37-31. However, in the second half, Ohio State forced Purdue into 11 turnovers and converted those turnovers into 15 points. Ohio State also made 10 more free throws than Purdue in the second half.

Purdue out rebounded Ohio State 41-24 in the game.

The Boilers were led in scoring by Brittany Rayburn with 22 points. Sam Ostarello added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Ohio State was led in scoring by Samantha Prahalis with 26 points. Ohio State had four players in double figures in scoring.

Purdue has lost their last three out of four games. They drop to 19-6 overall and 9-3 in Big Ten play. Purdue is tied for second place in the Big Ten standings now with Ohio State. Penn State is in first place in the Big Ten with a 10-3 record.
