Purdue women beat Oakland

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The No. 15/14 Boilermakers committed the second fewest fouls in school history with just five personal fouls in the 77-46 win at Oakland on Sunday.

Purdue led 38-27 at the half and then shot 61 percent after the break while holding the Golden Grizzlies to 19 points.

Purdue's Drey Mingo led all scorers with 19 points, Dee Dee Williams scored a career-high 14 and hit 4-of-4 three-pointers, bringing her career total for threes to six. Courtney Moses added 13 points, three assists and three steals.

Sam Ostarello pulled down 10 rebounds for Purdue, which owned a 35-22 edge on the boards. The Boilermakers are off to their best start since the 2003-04 season.

Purdue improves to 10-1 on the season.

Purdue will play host to IUPUI on Dec. 21 at noon.
