EVANSTON, Ill. (WLFI) - Purdue men's basketball falls to Northwestern on Saturday 75-60.
Northwestern began the game on a 12-0 start. Purdue head coach Matt Painter had to use two timeouts during the stretch. The Boilermakers trailed at halftime 43-29.
Purdue made just 33 percent of its field goal attempts while Northwestern made 53 percent.
Purdue's A.J. Hammons did not start the game due to being late for the team bus. Hammons did play 30 minutes. He scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. D.J. Byrd added 12 points.
The Boilermakers drop to 11-11 on the season and 4-5 in Big Ten play.
