WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue men's basketball team fell to Eastern Michigan 47-44 on Saturday.

The Boilers led at halftime 20-19. Purdue trailed by 10 points with eight minutes left to go in the second half. The Boilers rallied to bring the deficit to two points, 46-44.

Eastern Michigan shot two free throws with 8.8 seconds left in the game. The Eagles made the first free throw but missed the second free throw attempt. However, Purdue did not get off a three point attempt because the Boilers turned the ball over.

Eastern Michigan claimed its first home victory over a Big Ten opponent since 1994.

Purdue's Terone Johnson finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds. A.J. Hammons added 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Purdue drops to 4-5 on the season and Eastern Michigan improves to 6-2. The Boilers return to action on December 15 against Notre Dame at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 4:30 pm.
