WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (WLFI) - Former Purdue basketball star and current NBA player E'Twaun Moore is staying busy this summer. Moore has been spending much of his summer playing basketball in Indianapolis while taking part in the Indy Pro Am.

The Summer League is an NBA sanctioned league which allows the participation of NBA players. Moore is doing whatever he can to stay sharp mentally and physically in hopes that he can make the Boston Celtics roster whenever the NBA lockout is lifted.

"It's exciting going to Boston and a good team, especially to go there with JaJuan. You know we are best friends, so it is definitely fun," said Moore.

For an NBA rookie who doesn't have a guaranteed contract, it's important to stay sharp and continue to work on your game.

"They told me to keep working hard you know. And hopefully, when the year come back around to be ready to play and hopefully go in there with a positive attitude and hopefully get on the team," said Moore.

The chance to play with friends and NBA competition is just icing on the cake for Moore,

"Summertime, get to play with some guys that I haven't saw in a while. There have definitely been a lot of roller coasters and ups and downs. You can't do anything about the lockout just keep playing basketball. And keep working hard and you know keep enjoying it," said Moore.
