DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) - Delphi's senior basketball player Cole Murray is coming off an outstanding season with the Oracles. He averaged over 21 points, six rebounds, and two blocks per game. He also helped lead Delphi to the second round of sectionals for the first time since 2005.
Murray enjoyed the summer as he traveled around the country playing in basketball tournaments with his AAU team.
"It has been fun. It has been a real great experience on my last time around on the AAU circuit and I just wanted to get my name out there as much as I could," said Murray.
During this past summer, he grabbed the attention of a few college programs as he received 10 scholarship offers.
"It's nice knowing that you are wanted by somebody. It's a nice experience and it's very humbling. There are some people who just sit with one or two and not have a big selection. I have 10 and I have a wide selection of where I can go. Hopefully I get a couple more before it's time to make a decision. Right now I am just happy with what I have," said Murray.
Murray now sets his sights on his senior season with Delphi. He is focused on helping the Oracles win a sectional title.
"I definitely want a sectional championship. It has been nine years since we have had one and I think it's time that we get another one back here. I just want to take this last season with my friends and teammates and just make it a good one," said Murray.
