HOUSTON, TX (WLFI) - Former Purdue Boilermaker E'Twaun Moore was released by the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

Moore was recently traded by the Boston Celtics to the Houston Rockets in a deal that sent Courtney Lee to the Celtics. Former Purdue Boilermaker JaJaun Johnson was also sent in that trade to the Rockets. He is still currently on Houston's roster.

The Rockets also announced Tuesday that Turkish big man Omer Asik is headed to Houston after the Chicago Bulls decided not to match their three-year, $25 million offer sheet.

Moore was drafted 55th overall by the Celtics in 2011. He played in 38 games for the Celtics and averaged 2.9 points per game.
