Martin's Moments October 14

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - This week in Martin's Moments I chose a couple plays from the football field and an incredible soccer performance.

I decided to pick Katie Bittner's performance at number three this week. She put on a show in West Lafayette's regional game against Hamilton Heights. Bittner scored three of West Lafayette's four goals as the Lady Red Devils beat Hamilton Heights 4-0.

I chose Ab Kiger's interception as my second top play this week. Kiger showed great concentration hauling in the pick as the ball was tipped up in the air before he caught it. It was an impressive play to watch and that is why I chose it over Bittner's performance. It was a very tough decision though.

Central Catholic's Timmy Mills took the top spot this week. He ran a 90 yard kick-off return for the a touchdown as time expired in the first half. It gave the Knights a 17-7 lead going in to halftime against West Lafayette. I believe it was the turning point of the game that led the Knights to a 24-14 win. The play had to be number one this week.
