Martin's Moments August 26

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - I first want to say congratulations to last season's Martin's Moments winner, Central Catholic's Mason Sandy.

It is great to begin a new year of hunting down the best plays and moments the area has to offer.

This week we saw a lot of good plays and a few stood out to me. I decided to place the fumble recovery by Central Catholic's Brad Schader at No. 3 this week. The ball took a unique bounce and handed Schrader a gift as he was able to score a touchdown.

I decided to give Frontier's Kattie Lee the second spot this week. Her spike against Central Catholic was great! There is no way the Knights could return that hit. We should see a lot of big plays out of Lee and Frontier's volleyball team this season.

Lafayette Jeff's Darian Green had to own the rights to the No. 1 spot in Martin's Moments this week. He didn't have a specific play that dazzled me but his overall performance against Harrison was incredible. Green racked up 222 yards rushing and four touchdowns to help lead the Bronchos to a 28-21 win over the Raiders.
