Manuel receives Big Ten honors

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue's Taylor Manuel earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on Tuesday. This is the second time she has received the honor this season.
Manuel tied her career-high with 16 points in 17 minutes in a 77-73 win against Northwestern. She followed that performance up with another productive game against Michigan State. Manuel poured in 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal in the overtime victory against the Spartans.
Purdue is 17-3 on the season and 6-1 in Big Ten play. The No. 14/13 Boilers return to action on Thursday when they play host to rival Indiana. Tip-off is set for 6:30 pm.
