FRANKLIN, Ind. (WLFI) - Harrison's Cody Johnson, Rossville's Anthony Zachman, and the West Lafayette golf team would like a mulligan after missing the cut on day one of the IHSAA State Tournament at the Legends Golf Club on Tuesday.
Cody Johnson's Results
After saving par on the first two holes, Johnson bogeyed the third hole before bouncing back with birdie's on holes 4 and 5. From there Johnson regrouped until hole 9 when he bogeyed again to finish at even par on the front 9. The back 9 was a different story for the Raider senior and not in a good way. Johnson finished the back 9 with 2 triple bogey's, 1 double bogey, 3 bogeys to go with 2 par's and 1 bride. Cody Johnson finished his first round with a (+10) 82.
Anthony Zachman's Results
As for the Rossville senior, it was more of the same. Zachman started on hole 10 and through the first 9 holes it looked like he had what it took to make it to day two but a bogey on hole 1 followed by double bogey's on holes 4 and 7 sealed his fate of missing the cut. Anthony Zachman finished his first round with a (+ 5) 77.
