FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WLFI) - Former Purdue Boilermaker JaJuan Johnson was selected by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants as the number one overall pick in the NBA Developmental Draft on Friday.
Johnson was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA draft in the 2011-2012 season. In 36 games for the Celtics last season, Johnson averaged 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds. He was a four year contributor and two-year starter at Purdue, Johnson was named All-Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2011.
Johnson was traded to the Houston Rockets this season but was waived on Monday.
