LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) - Logansport junior basketball player Whitney Jennings recently verbally committed to play her college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
"I am so excited and relieved to have made the decision," said Jennings. "It is definitely something that has been weighing on me the past few months because schools have wanted a decision. I just love it out there. I remember going to Big Ten Tournaments in Indianapolis and thinking I want to play out there one day and to actually have this opportunity, it is a dream come true for me.
As a sophomore, Jennings averaged 25.4 points and 7.0 assists per game while helping lead the Berries to a 20-4 record.
Logansport fell in sectionals to McCutcheon last season 62-50. Jennings is focused on helping lead her team to a sectional title win this season.
