WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue Head Football Coach Danny Hope talked about several topics during an hour-long session with local media members Tuesday morning, including the experienced depth at quarterback that the Boilermakers head coach has heading into next month's spring workouts.
Four Boilermaker quarterbacks, Robert Marve, Caleb TerBush, Rob Henry, and Sean Robinson, have playing experience at Purdue. Three of the quarterbacks played during the 2011 season while Henry was sidelined last season with a knee injury.
Hope thinks Marve, who was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, will benefit from spring practice.
"What's exciting about Robert Marve is he's a great talent with a real burning desire to be a great player," Hope said. "And this is the best is the best opportunity he's had as far as college football goes in many, many years."
Coach Hope and the Boilermaker players kick off spring practice on Monday, March 5.
