LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Hoosier North edged Joliet, Illinois 12-11 while Tampa, Florida scored a run in the seventh inning to defeat Lafayette All-Stars 4-3 Friday at the 2009 Colt World Series at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette.
Puerto Rico defeated Germany 12-2 in the other game Friday.
Saturday's schedule has Joliet, illinois facing Santa Clara, Calif. at noon, followed by Puerto Rico versus Mexico at 2:30 p.m., Hoosier North against the Philippines at 5 p.m., and the Lafayette All-Stars taking on Germany at 7:30 p.m.
