Hoosier North Falls In CWS Debut

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Hoosier North fell to a talented Santa Clara, California team 13-1 in its 2009 Colt World Series debut Thursday at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette.

The other two games Thursday were also one-sided affairs. Tampa, Florida defeated Mexico 13-2 and Greensboro, North Carolina downed the Philippines 19-2.

Three games are scheduled to take place Friday at the Colt World Series. Germany will face Gurabo, Puerto Rico at 2:30 p.m., followed by Hoosier North versus Joilet, Illinois at 5 p.m. and the Lafayette All-Stars taking on Tampa, Florida at 7:30 p.m.
