Fort Wayne To Host 2010 Girls Finals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) - The 2010 high school girls basketball state finals will be held in Fort Wayne due to scheduling conflicts with Indianapolis-based venues.

In addition to Fort Wayne, the IHSAA also received bids for hosting the girls state championship basketball games from Indiana University and Ball State University.

The four state championship basketball games will be held at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, March 6, 2010.

Neither Indianapolis venue used in recent years---Conseco Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium---was available for use on next year's date.
