Area Players In NJCAA World Series

Five Former Area Baseball Players In Tourney

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Five former area baseball standouts are competing in the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.

Andy Dunscomb (West Lafayette), Jon Bennett (McCutcheon), Gentry VanAllen (McCutcheon), Michael Schaeffer (Central Catholic), and Tyler Ware (Seeger) are on the Kankakee College (IL) Cavaliers' roster.

The Cavaliers face Parkland College Thursday, May 28, at eight p.m. Tippecanoe County time in a winners' bracket semifinal game.

The tournament concludes Saturday, May 30.
