WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Indianapolis Colts jumped out to an early 14-3 lead at halftime over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Colts' quarterback Andrew Luck threw two touchdown passes in the first half. He connected with T.Y. Hilton on a 40 yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. He then found Mewelde Moore on a four yard touchdown strike in the second quarter.

However, the Jaguars would rally back in the second half. Maurice Jones-Drew broke a 59 yard run for a touchdown in the third quarter. Jones-Drew plagued the Colts defense most of the afternoon. He finished with 177 yards rushing and one touchdown. Jaguars' kicker Josh Scobee kicked a 26 yard field goal in the fourth quarter to give the Jaguars its first lead of the game 16-14.

Luck led the Colts on a late drive in the fourth quarter that ended in an Adam Vinatieri field goal to regain the lead for the Colts 17-16.

However, Jaguars' quarterback Blaine Gabbert connected with Cecil Shorts III on an 80 yard touchdown pass to give Jacksonville the 22-17 lead. The Jaguars did not convert the two point conversion.

Last week, Luck engineered a game winning drive to beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-20 but he wasn't able to lead the Colts back this Sunday as the Colts fall to the Jaguars 22-17.

"This one’s going to sit in the pit of their stomach, all our stomachs for quite some time," said Colts' head coach Chuck Pagano Obviously we’re all going to have to get over it and move on and get better from here. But proud of the guys for fighting their tails off and putting us in the position of winning the game. Adam (Vinatieri) comes back and kicks, what you would think would be a game-winner. But in the NFL, you know it doesn’t matter how many ticks are left on there, until it reads zero, zero, zero, anything can happen. That’s what we found out today.”

Luck completed 22-46 passes for 313 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
