Former champs advance in City Golf

Yocum, Hofman, Hutchinson in semifinals

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Three former champions and former high school golf coach make this year's semifinal field at the Men's City Golf Championship presented by Bob Rohrman Toyota.

Defending champion Jacob Yocum, 2010 winner Craig Hutchinson, four-time champion Craig Hutchinson, and former West Lafayette boys golf coach Shane Fry each won their respective two matches Sunday at Purdue's Kampen Course to advance to next weekend's Championship Flight semifinals.

Yocum will take on Fry while Hofman will go up against Hutchinson.

Ryan Williamson, Chad Harding, Greg Heistuman, and Dennis Davidson advanced to the semifinal in the 1st Flight.

Randy Bond, Nik Cross, Ross Muinzer, and Cole Knecht make up the semifinal field in the 2nd Flight.

T.K. Goldsmith, Nick Ramsey, Mark Pendleton, and Dave Fetters advanced to the semifinals in the 3rd Flight.

Semifinalists in the 4th Flight consist of Kevin Ramsey, Bryce Burgess, Jason Gick, and Courtland Keyes while Leonard Sarten will take on Jay Cress in the championship match in the 5th Flight.

The Men's City Championship presented by Bob Rohrman resumes Saturday, July 28 at Purdue's Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
