Football scrimmages kick-off

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The high school football season is right around the corner as the regular season kicks-off next week on August 17. On Friday, teams from all around Indiana held scrimmages as they prepare for the season ahead.

Teams use the scrimmages to work on different situations that the teams might see in a game. The score is not kept in the scrimmages. Instead, each team is given a certain number of plays to try and advance the ball on offense.

Benton Central at North Montgomery 7 pm

Brownsburg at McCutcheon 7 pm

Carroll at Tri-County 7 pm

Delphi at Lafayette Central Catholic 7 pm

Frontier at Clinton Prairie 7 pm

Knox at Winamac 7:30 pm

Northwestern at Clinton Central 7 pm

Pioneer at Lewis Cass 7 pm

Rensselaer Central at Kankakee Valley 8 pm
