WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue University released on Tuesday that head football coach Danny Hope is set to make $950,000 in 2012 and will increase by $25,000 each season until 2016.

Hope agreed to a contract extension back in December but did not sign it until June 25.

There has been no changes to bonus opportunities. He is still able to earn bonuses due to how Purdue finishes in the Big Ten, coach of the year honors, bowl appearances, academic performance of the team, and attendance.

One of the new changes in the contract extension is a structured breakdown of a buyout payment. If Purdue decides to let him go, they will have to buy him out at $600,000. They buyout will decrease by $100,000 each year until 2016 when the contract ends.
