Day 2 of Purdue's camp wraps up

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue's football team held their second day of training camp on Sunday.

The Boilers suffered their first injury of camp as junior reserve wide receiver Ishmael Aristide injured his knee. However, coach Danny Hope did not know how serious the injury is.

The Boilers return to practice on Monday and will be wearing shoulder pads.

"There is not a lot of difference from going from half pads to full pads other than tackling and cutting," said head coach Danny Hope. "Once we get the uppers on we will be able to go harder across the line of scrimmage and it will be a real test to our offensive line protection wise and I anticipate our defense being able to pressure the quarterback with our down lineman."
