WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WFLI) - The Indianapolis Colts earned a trip to the playoffs with a 20-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

"I was fortunate to call the offensive plays in a two minute drive to win a Super Bowl and that was fantastic but to do this job that was handed to me, there is nothing more rewarding," said Colts' Interim Head Coach Bruce Arians.

The Colts jumped out to an early lead with a 32 yard interception returned for a touchdown by Darius Butler. Indianapolis tacked on two field goals to lead the Chiefs 13-3 at halftime.

The Chiefs responded in the third quarter as running back Jamaal Charles broke an 86 yard run for a touchdown to bring Kansas City within three points, 13-10. The Chiefs tied the game with a field goal at the 6:05 minute mark in the third quarter.

The Colts rallied in the fourth quarter with a 13 play, 73 yard drive capped off by a seven yard pass from Andrew Luck to Reggie Wayne for a touchdown. Colts took the lead 20-13 and didn't look back.

Luck broke the record for most passing yards in a season by a rookie. Luck passed for 205 yards and one touchdown. Luck also rushed for 21 yards on six carries. Reggie Wayne caught five passes for 81 yards and one touchdown.

Colts improve to 10-5 on the season. Indianapolis faces the Houston Texans next Sunday at 1 pm inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano is expected to make his return to the Colts on Monday and resume full duties as head coach. He plans on addressing the team at 10 am. He is expected to coach against the Texans.
