Why Berry was destined to be a Flyer

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Jeff boys' basketball standout Jesse Berry has verbally committed to play college hoops for the Dayton Flyers.

Berry had a sensational junior season for the Bronchos, averaging 27-and-a-half points per game, including a school-record 55 points in one game.

Berry made an unofficial visit to Dayton last Friday where he was able to talk with the coaches and meet the players. He was going to wait until the end of July to re-evaluate his options. But after talking with his family, becoming a future Flyer seemed like an ideal destination.
