WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday night its football divisonal setup beginning with the 2011 season.
Purdue will be in a six-team division with Indiana, Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin. The other six-team division will have Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, and Minnesota.
"From Purdue's perspective, we are grateful for the opportunity to play our trophy rivals on an annual basis and value the competitive balance between the two divisions," said Purdue Athletic Director Morgan Burke.
"I think the division alignment is great for Purdue football and for Boilermaker Nation," said Purdue Head Football Coach Danny Hope.
